ℹ️About This Game
Wordly is inspired by Wordle, the viral word-guessing game created by software engineer Josh Wardle for his partner in 2021. He later sold it to The New York Times for a reported seven-figure sum. The game challenges players to guess a secret 5-letter word in 6 attempts, with color-coded feedback after each guess. It became a global phenomenon for its simple shareability — the emoji grid of results became ubiquitous on social media. Our version features an unlimited daily play mode so you can keep going all day.
💡Tips & Strategy
- 1
Start with a word using 5 common, different letters — CRANE, SLATE, or ADIEU are popular opener choices.
- 2
Green letters are confirmed — keep them in the same position every guess.
- 3
Yellow letters must move — never put a yellow letter back in the same position.
- 4
Eliminate vowels early: most 5-letter English words have at least 2 vowels.
